Hello Parents and Students,
My name is Shannon Marsh and I will be your partner in education this school year. I have 6 total years in Early Childhood Care and Education and before joining the public school system I owned an in home daycare. I chose to make the transition into the public school setting to have the opportunity to teach older children and make a difference in their lives. Before becoming a classroom teacher I was a computer resource teacher for two years. I obtained my Associates Degree in Early Childhood Care and Education from Savannah Technical College and my Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education from Grand Canyon University.
The philosophy in my classroom is to reach each student in their area of expertise. We all learn in different ways and I want to provide my students with the experience of learning hands on, having a visually print rich environment, and reinforcing this by talking them through strategies we have learned. Our classroom is a combination of flexible seating and grouped desks. The students will have classroom contracts that will guide them through the use of flexible seating and picking the area best suited for thier learning style. I am excited to be your partner in education and look forward to the year ahead.
